About the role
Mater is seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Officer to join our Supply Chain Operations team based at South Brisbane. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth management of inventory within our theatre operations. You will be part of a collaborative, customer-focused team driving continuous improvement in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Salary range: $39.79 to $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This role will oversee accurate inventory control and imprest management to support theatre operations, ensuring timely stock replenishment and cost recovery. Working closely with clinical stakeholders and suppliers, you will manage stocktaking activities, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to service excellence. Additionally, you will actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management and support the transition to a centralised supply chain model.
About you
The ideal candidate will be proactive and organised professional with experience in warehousing and inventory control, ideally within a healthcare setting, who thrives in a team environment.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control and imprest management, preferably within a large, complex organisation
- Proficient with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues collaboratively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and outcomes
