About the role
Mater Corporate Affairs is looking for a Coordinator, Communications and Engagement (Projects) to join the team for 12 months. Based at our Newstead offices, this role reports to the Manager, Communications and Engagement (Projects).
To protect and enhance the Mater brand and support business revenue and growth targets by contributing to and implementing marketing and communications strategies for key Mater projects, in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Salary range: $93,103 per annum + plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Develop, implement, manage and evaluate effective marketing and communication strategies for Mater projects in line with Corporate Affairs strategies and plans.
- Act as the first port-of-call for communications and engagement enquiries across Mater projects including but not limited to Mater Hospital Springfield and the construction of Mater Private Hospital Townsville’s maternity and renal units.
- Management of internal and external landing pages (website and Intranet) for Mater projects.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Corporate Affairs team and build strong, effective relationships in all Mater ministries and facilities.
- Provide strategic marketing and communications advice to local executive members, senior staff and colleagues, with the guidance and support of the Manager, Communications and Engagement (Projects).
- Drive new initiatives and opportunities locally and strive for continuous improvement and effectiveness of all activities.
- Manage all local projects, events, and campaigns within budget and allocated timeframes.
- Actively work with colleagues to identify, develop and support the genuine integration of health, education, research and philanthropy at Mater; as part of projects and beyond.
- Support the Manager and Executive Director to achieve the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Willingness to travel regularly to Mater’s locations within Queensland to support local teams.
About you
You will have tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in marketing and communications. You will also meet the following criteria:
- Five years’ minimum experience in a role with exposure to fast-paced communications.
- Knowledge of contemporary marketing and communication principles and evolving trends.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering successful communications andmarketing strategies to achieve the business objectives of an organisation.
- Proficiency in managing brand assets, digital asset management systems and digital platforms.
- Understanding, and experience in, using effective strategies to increase localised NPS and generate positive community perceptions of the Mater brand.
- Experience working with professionals in a fast-paced service delivery environment.
- Event coordination experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with the health, education, research and philanthropy sectors is desirable.
