About the role
Mater Cancer Care Centre Springfield (MCCCS) is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experience Registered Nurse to join the team on a permanent part time basis, 24 hours per week. This role will be based at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
We aim to offer all patients, regardless of their level of health insurance cover, access to modern state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive and compassionate care that is individually personalized. The centre includes consultation rooms, 15 treatment pods, palliative care, support programs and a specialized pharmacy. The layout of the unit will enable a holistic approach to cancer care all from the one convenient location.
Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout their disease trajectory
- Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of chemotherapy and targeted therapy administration, central venous line management, and the management of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
The successful candidate will be hard working, enthusiastic and able to show initiative. You will be approachable with a mature and confident attitude, have the ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Oncology/Haematology outpatient setting and ADAC competency in chemotherapy administration
- Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
While not essential, applicants who currently have or are studying towards a tertiary qualification within this clinical specialty would be highly regarded.
