Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Business Support Officers to join us in multiple permanent, full-time roles . Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Provide high-level administrative support to Directors and Senior Leaders within a private practice environment
Manage diaries, meetings, agendas, minutes, and executive correspondence
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including PageUp requests and interview scheduling
Support rostering, leave, and workforce updates through Kronos
Maintain accurate data, reports, spreadsheets, and departmental databases
Process invoices, D365 requests, and support private billing activities
Coordinate operational requests including IT, BEIMS, CAPEX, and facilities matters
Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders
Assist with workshops, forums, education sessions, and special events
Ensure confidentiality, compliance, and adherence to Mater policies, procedures, and values
About you
Proven experience in healthcare or private practice administration (minimum 2 years highly desirable)
Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally and discreetly
Experienced in managing confidential and sensitive information
Comfortable working across multiple systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications
Able to exercise judgement, initiative, and problem-solving within established guidelines
Collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive workplace culture
Background in nursing or clinical environments is desirable but not essential
