About the role
Mater Research are looking for a Clinical Trial Assistant to join the Surgical/Acute/Neuroscience and Dementia (SAND) team! This maximum term (12 months), full-time role will be based at our South Brisbane campus. Please note, this role will commence in 2025.

What you’ll be doing
The Clinical Trial Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-today management of clinical trials. The CTA will coordinate the administrative research requirements as appropriate (and clinical if applicable). They will oversee the administrative tasks and record keeping in a GCP compliant manner.
They are responsible for assisting coordination and administration of trial related activities under the supervision of the Clinical Trial Coordinator. This position can assist with clinical tasks appropriate to applicants scope of practice and experience. There is opportunity to develop clinical trial skills on the job. This role is critical to the successful conduct of clinical trials at Mater Research.

About you
You will have a relevant undergraduate degree in relevant discipline Knowledge and Skills
Awareness of the Australian Clinical trial regulatory framework and applicable guidelines such as ICH GCP as adopted by the TGA and NHRMC guidelines for clinical trials
Strong organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with competent working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs including excel, word, teams and outlook,
Ability to operate independently exercising initiative and judgement as well as in collaboration with stakeholders.
Ability to acquire and apply standard process to project specific protocols
Experience in medical research (Desirable)
