Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist – Women’s Health to join us in a permanent, part-time (0.8FTE) capacity. Based at our Springfield campus. These roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.

The role will include clinically leading service delivery across Maternity, Pregnancy Assessment Centre, Gynaecology, group education settings, and outpatients. You will be responsible for supervising and training junior clinicians rotating through these specialty areas.

Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 (HP4) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will be delivering safe, effective and evidence-based clinical services within women’s health services and clinically supervising and training Physiotherapists (HP3).

The key duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Clinically lead and coordinate services across the breadth of Physiotherapy intervention listed above.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within your specialty area.
  • Take a leadership role in departmental planning and translating organisational and divisional strategy to operational outcomes, including refining models of service delivery.
  • Lead change through initiating and implementing quality and service improvement initiatives.
  • Foster engagement and alignment of team activity with departmental priorities.
  • Supervision and training of more junior clinicians servicing this specialty area.
  • Participate in and support the team to engage in research.

About you

The ideal candidate is a motivated and compassionate Senior Physiotherapist with a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care in a collaborative team environment. 

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration (with no restrictions).
  • Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number.
  • Post graduate qualifications in Women’s Health or Leadership is highly desirable.
  • High level Physiotherapy clinical skills in obstetrics, gynaecology and or pelvic health specialty areas (which may include, examination, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment) to provide optimal patient outcomes for complex clinical presentations.
  • Demonstrated leadership at an organisational level for translating emerging evidence, innovative models of care, and departmental planning, into clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated advanced level clinical expertise and ability to clinically lead and coordinate a team in the delivery of patient centred care.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and growing a clinical service in line with strategy.
