About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield (MHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Ward to join the team in a permanent part-time or full-time basis (negotiable). This role will be based in the private ward within Springfield Hospital.
The main specialties we cover are:
Orthopaedics
ENT
Gynaecology
Urology
General Surgery
Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients
About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
12 months postgraduate surgical experience (desirable not essential)
Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
