About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an Administration Officer to join Mater Administration Services at our South Brisbane campus on a permanent part-time basis, 16 hours per week (weekdays 7.30am-5pm).

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the Women’s Health Clinics, working closely with both clinical and administrative teams to ensure the smooth, efficient, and patient-centred running of daily clinic operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a busy, purpose-driven healthcare environment while making a meaningful difference to patient and clinician experience.

Salary range: $32.02 – 37.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the Women’s Health Clinics, ensuring clinics run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical and administrative teams
  • Manage all interpreter bookings, ensuring cost-effective use, appropriate booking durations, and timely cancellations to avoid unnecessary fees
  • Support positive patient and clinician experiences through effective coordination of interpreter services
  • Process and prepare patient documentation for scanning and actioning via the Scan Centre within required timeframes
  • Prepare daily clinic paperwork and requirements to support smooth clinic operations
  • Enter occasions of service accurately and promptly
  • Maintain accurate data entry and records to support patient care and operational efficiency

About you

You are a motivated and detail-oriented administrator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.

  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within a healthcare or clinical setting (highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight timeframes
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders
  • A patient-centred approach and commitment to providing high-quality service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and use health information systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also using initiative to support daily operations
