About the role The Program Support Officer provides high-level, independent administrative and coordination support to Mater Education programs. The role is accountable for the effective coordination of program administration, student support processes, data integrity, and facilities/resources, contributing to the efficient delivery and continuous improvement of programs and the student experience.
We currently have two full-time permanent positions available in Vocational Education in Certificates and Diploma of Nursing areas. Successful candidates will be expected to work across both programs based at South Brisbane and Springfield as needed. The role works with a high degree of autonomy, exercising sound judgement, prioritising competing demands, and proactively coordinating activities across stakeholders. The position reports to the Senior Manager responsible for the relevant programs and requires occasional travel between Mater Education campuses.
Salary range: $49.96 - $51.73 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The Program Support officer c oordinates and manages administrative functions for assigned Mater Education programs to ensure efficient program delivery and effective use of facilities and resources. They provide high-level support with various aspects of the programs including:
Support for meetings, workshops and events including scheduling venue bookings, preparation of materials, recording of minutes and action items
Logistical support for student events and activities including orientations, open days, careers and school expos, webinars and graduation ceremonies
Respond to and resolve student, school and external agency enquiries, exercising judgement to escalate matters as required
Undertake additional duties, projects, coordination activities as agreed with by Senior Managers
Maintain oversight of equipment registers, learning resources and facilities
Support with administrative coordination of student placement requirements, including observational agreements and associated documentation
Administration support for program planning and resources
About you
To be considered for this position you should have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in program support or administrative roles, ideally within an RTO environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and student/learning management systems (aXcelerate & VLE).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative team approach
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and work well under pressure
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance
