About the role
We are seeking a Business Services Officer to join the Digital Technology & Information Division at Mater’s Corporate Campus in Newstead on a full-time, maximum term contract (6 months) .
This is a great opportunity to support critical digital and technology initiatives while providing high-quality operational and administrative support across a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll play a key role in enabling projects, supporting financial and reporting processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations that contribute to Mater’s strategic priorities.
Salary range: $46.96 - $51.73 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll provide professional business and administrative support across digital projects and operational functions, helping the team deliver outcomes aligned with Mater’s strategy.
Create, track and monitor purchase orders, invoices and budgets across investment-funded projects and operational cost centres
Provide ongoing operational and reporting support, including monthly budget alignment in partnership with Finance
Coordinate timelines and priorities across multiple projects and initiatives
Provide secretariat support for program and project committees
Maintain dashboards, tracking tools and consistent documentation across the division
Support onboarding and offboarding activities in line with documented processes
Monitor and manage shared inboxes, ensuring timely responses and escalation where required
Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, vendors and external partners
About you
You are a highly organised and proactive professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, team-based environment and supporting complex programs of work.
Demonstrated experience in administrative, business services or project support roles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Experience with procurement processes, purchase orders, invoicing and budget tracking (desirable)
Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Experience working in a health or hospital environment is desirable, but not essential
