About the role

Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Day Infusion Unit on a part-time, maximum term contract 16 hours per week (12 months, 2 days per week) working Wednesday & Friday each week.

This is a rewarding, patient-facing opportunity to work within a specialised infusion service, where you will play a key role in coordinating care, delivering treatments, and supporting patients through their treatment journey in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care while supporting the safe and efficient operation of the Infusion Unit, including:

  • Coordinating patient flow and completing comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Administering infusions and monitoring patient responses to treatment
  • Providing patient education, support, and discharge planning
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and scheduling information
  • Using effective clinical problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
  • Collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

About you

You are a dedicated Registered Nurse who enjoys working in a patient-focused, outpatient environment and values teamwork, quality care, and clear communication. You will bring:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of two years’ full-time equivalent clinical experience
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, patient-facing role
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
  • Competence in intravenous and peripheral access and administering infusions
  • Confidence using electronic clinical systems and maintaining accurate documentation
  • A commitment to Mater’s Mission, Values, and behavioural standards
