About the role
Mater is seeking an experienced Administration Team Leader to join Mater Mothers Hospital Administration Team on a full-time, maximum term contract form the 13th of April 2026 till the 16th of May 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-level business support while assisting in leading and coordinating a dynamic administration team that supports the Mater Mothers Leadership group. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality administrative services.
Salary range: $44.96 - $51.73 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Supporting operational excellence across Mater Mothers’ administration services, you will:
- Assist the Administration Manager in leading, mentoring and coordinating the administration team
- Oversee team rosters, workload allocation and coverage planning
- Develop training initiatives and champion best practice administrative processes
- Review and improve systems, procedures and operational workflows
- Act as a key point of contact for administrative matters and stakeholder support
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead approved initiatives
- Monitor performance standards and ensure service delivery meets business needs
- Support compliance, WHS obligations and quality frameworks
About you
You are an organised and proactive administrative leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in administration leadership or team coordination
- Strong operational capability and process improvement experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced digital proficiency and ability to quickly adapt to new systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently
- Vocational or tertiary qualification in business or management (highly regarded)
