About the role
Mater Hospital South Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for passionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join in the Endoscopy Unit. This position is permanent full time, 38 hours per week .
Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse, your role will involve (but is not limited to):
Providing quality care to patients undergoing Endoscopy and minor procedures. Includes pre/intra and post procedure care
Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of health care including preparing patients for discharge
Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by risk management guidelines
Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety, security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups
Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
Complies with organisational policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
Ensure confidentiality of corporate and patient information
While providing you the ability to work at the top of your scope, you will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable nursing team to assist you in providing exceptional care every time
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
Previous Endoscopy experience desirable however not mandatory
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
Demonstrated ability to mentor and share knowledge with less-experienced staff
Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management activities
