About the role
Mater Cancer Care Centre (MCCC) is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the team in a full-time, permanent capacity (38 hours).
Mater Cancer Care Centre aims to offer all patients, regardless of their level of health insurance cover, access to a modern state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive and compassionate care that is individually personalised. The centre includes specialist suites, consultation rooms, cancer care treatment pods, allied health and support programs, on-site pathology and specialised pharmacy.
Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout their disease trajectory
- Demonstrating clinical expertise, knowledge of and skills in administering anti-cancer treatments
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision,
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Experience in a Day Oncology setting
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and initiate nursing interventions as appropriate
- Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- A positive attitude, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- ADAC or equivalent certification
- CVAD and PIVC competency - highly desirable
While not essential, applicants who currently have or are studying towards a tertiary qualification within this clinical specialty would be highly regarded.
