About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing patient-centred care in a supportive and dynamic environment.
This role is a maximum term contract for 12 months, 16 hours per week .
Salary range: $33.20 - $36.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an AIN, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursing staff and allied health teams to deliver high-quality rehabilitation care. You will assist with the day-to-day care of patients, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals in a safe and respectful manner.
Assisting patients with activities of daily living including mobility, personal hygiene, and nutrition
Supporting nursing staff in monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition
Assisting with the maintenance of a clean, safe, and comfortable clinical environment
Collaborating with nursing and allied health teams to support patient rehabilitation plans
Contributing to the delivery of holistic, patient-centred care that respects individual needs and dignity
About you
Previous experience or interest in rehabilitation, aged care, or medical/surgical settings is desirable
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, patient-focused approach and commitment to quality care
Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a supportive environment
