About the role

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Registered Midwife to join our Antenatal Clinic and Home Care team, in a permanent, part time (0.8 FTE) opportunity.

Based at our brand new Mater Hospital Springfield and within the Springfield community, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare. As Mater’s newest public hospital, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. 

Salary range: $41.73 – $53.53 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing

This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Midwife (RM) to provide exceptional midwifery care, proficiency in coordinating, assessing, risk management and communication within a multidisciplinary framework. It is a fantastic chance to become part of a highly skilled and professional team, utilising your enthusiasm and midwifery passion for the delivery of best practice within a supportive and professional environment.

This opportunity will utilise your expertise in caring for women and families and your ability to work in partnership. You will enjoy demonstrating your excellent communication skills and building relationships to ensure exceptional family-centred care.

About you

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
  • At least one year post graduate experience, preferably within an Antenatal environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
  • Evidence of continuing educational and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to role model the Mater mission and values

The ideal applicant will possess an enthusiastic and mature attitude, demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and understand the Mater Mission and Values and an ability to promote its application within the Antenatal Clinic and Home Care environment.
