About the role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse to step into a Clinical Facilitator (CF) role within the Mater Cancer Care Clinical Education Team in a part-time (26:36/0.7FTE) role. This role will enable the successful applicant a unique career development opportunity to enhance educational skills and positively contribute to a culture of exceptional quality care delivered by Mater.

Salary range: $56.08 - $60.05per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing 

The Clinical Facilitator will support the Education Coordinator in the delivery of education strategies included in Mater Health’s Strategic and Operational Plans. Additionally, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the professional development of the nursing team and have a commitment to education and to delivering safe, quality, evidence-based patient care.

This role entails wide and diverse coordination, provision and monitoring of unit-based and organisational objectives to mandatory and role-requisite education, as well as National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards initiatives, the revision and implementation of new policies and models of care, clinical facilitation and the identification, implementation and evaluation of best practice models. 

About you 

To be successful in the role, you will possess:

  • Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience working as a Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse within haematology/oncology.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to undertake this upon commencement in the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation or preceptorship
  • High level communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Strong focus on professional self-development and that of others
  • Current and unrestricted registration and endorsement (where applicable) with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife
