About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Registered Midwives to join our Antenatal Clinic team in a permanent, full time or part-time opportunity.
Based at our Springfield Community Clinics, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. As Mater’s newest public hospital, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
As a Level 4 maternity service, we are planning to care for approximately 1,700 women and families each year, providing care for women experiencing low to moderate risk pregnancies. Clear referral pathways are established with Mater Mothers’ Hospital South Brisbane for women requiring higher-level care.
Our service includes a five-day antenatal clinic, with plans to expand to a seven-day home care service, supporting women across the continuum of care. The Antenatal Clinic and Home Care service operates under a midwifery-led model of care, supported by obstetric consultation and referral processes as required.
Salary range: $42.99 - $55.14 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
