About the role 

Mater is seeking an experienced Manager, Social Media to lead the strategy, governance and day to day delivery of our social media presence across all platforms.

Salary range: $124,394 - $133,248 per annum plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

This role is responsible for shaping how Mater engages with its audiences online, ensuring content is compelling, compliant and aligned with our brand and organisational priorities. Working across communications, marketing, digital and clinical teams, you’ll play a key role in strengthening community trust, supporting patient experience and driving brand growth in a complex healthcare environment.

Develop and deliver Mater’s social media strategy aligned to organisational goals

  • Oversee end to end management of all corporate social channels
  • Lead content planning, publishing, moderation and community management
  • Establish and maintain governance, policies and escalation protocols
  • Provide expert advice on platform trends, risks and performance optimisation
  • Manage reputational risks and issues in real time
  • Drive performance measurement, reporting and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver integrated campaigns

About you

You are a strategic social media leader with strong operational expertise and the ability to perform in a fast paced, high stakes environment. 

  • Significant experience managing large, high profile social media accounts
  • Proven success delivering engagement, audience growth and campaign outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of social platforms, algorithms and emerging trends
  • Experience managing risk, sensitive content and issues escalation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including working with senior leaders
  • Advanced writing, content planning and storytelling capability
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Experience in healthcare, government or regulated environments (desirable)
  • Formal training in digital analytics or leadership (desirable)
