About the role:
The Physiotherapy Department MSK/Orthopaedic/ED/AMU team is seeking a passionate and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dynamic service at Mater Hospital Brisbane in South Brisbane on a max term 6 month contract..
This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to deliver specialised, patient-centred care mainly within outpatient and orthopaedic inpatient settings, but also in the ED, AMU and vestibular OPD settings if you have the requisite skills. The team encompasses Physiotherapists and assistants who are passionate about delivering evidence based, high level physiotherapy clinical care across a 7 days per week service in a multidisciplinary environment.
Salary range: $46.06 - $60.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You will primarily work in MSK outpatients and on the inpatient orthopaedic ward, independently managing a varied caseload of patients with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic needs. You will deliver evidence-based clinical care and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and patient-centred outcomes.
There will also be opportunities to engage in in-house professional development, contribute to service improvement initiatives, supervise students, and upskill if/as needed within the team.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
- Experience in MSK outpatient and orthopaedic inpatient care
- Experience or a strong interest in ED and/or short stay ward physiotherapy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in a roster that includes weekend work
- A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for contributing to service development and continuous quality improvement
