About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our EEP Acute inpatient team in a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative acute care environment, providing high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse patient cohort. You'll be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team that is committed to delivering exceptional clinical outcomes and positive patient experiences.
Salary range: $42.99 - $55.14 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse within the EEP Acute team, you will play a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care while supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Conduct patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, allied health, and community care teams to provide coordinated care
- Advocate for patients and support informed healthcare decision-making
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives
- Support the development of students and less experienced team members
- Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing professional development
About you
You are a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment. Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, you bring strong clinical expertise, sound judgement, and a commitment to delivering positive outcomes for patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in medical and respiratory nursing
- Recent acute care nursing experience within a hospital setting
- Strong clinical assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- A commitment to patient-centred care, safety, and continuous improvement
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including early, late, night, and weekend shifts
