About the role

Mater is seeking an experienced Coordinator, Communications and Engagement to join our Corporate Affairs and Growth team in a full-time role until January 2027.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Engagement, you will play a key role in delivering communication and engagement initiatives that strengthen Mater’s reputation, support organisational priorities and enhance stakeholder experiences.

Working across Mater’s diverse health, education, research and philanthropy ministries, you will coordinate internal and external communications, marketing campaigns, digital content, events and stakeholder engagement activities while ensuring alignment with Mater’s brand and values. 

Salary range: $93,103 per annum + plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Develop and deliver marketing, communication and engagement campaigns.
  • Create engaging content that promotes Mater’s services, research, education and community impact.
  • Manage website and intranet content.
  • Act as the first point of contact for communications and engagement enquiries.
  • Coordinate projects, events and campaigns that build brand reputation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide communications advice and support to leaders and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance and engagement outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships across Mater and with external partners. 

About You

You are a proactive communications professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for creating meaningful and engaging communications.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in marketing and communications.
  • At least five years’ experience in a communications or marketing role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering successful communication and marketing strategies.
  • Strong content creation, storytelling and digital communications skills.
  • Experience managing websites, social media and digital platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, organisational and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
