About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Roster Relief team in the Central Staffing Office on a permanent full-time basis (38 hours per week).
As a Roster Relief Registered Nurse, you'll enjoy the variety and professional growth that comes with working across a range of clinical specialties while providing high-quality patient care wherever you're needed most. Please note: This is a 24/7 rotating roster position. Successful applicants must be available to work a combination of morning, afternoon and night shifts across seven days.
Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of the Roster Relief team, you'll provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care across a variety of inpatient and clinical areas, adapting quickly to different teams and patient needs.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies
- Work across a variety of wards and clinical specialties, providing flexible workforce support where required
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, coordinated and efficient care
- Apply sound clinical judgement to respond to changing patient needs in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold infection prevention and confidentiality standards
- Support a positive team culture through effective communication, professionalism and a commitment to continuous learning
About you
You're an adaptable and confident Registered Nurse who enjoys variety, thrives in changing clinical environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care wherever you're rostered.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of 12 months' post-graduate acute nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to different clinical areas, teams and leadership styles
- Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including AM, PM and night duty across seven days
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous improvement
- Sound computer literacy and experience using electronic health information systems
