About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking experienced and motivated Physiotherapists to join us on a casual basis (HP3). As Mater’s first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state-of-the-art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region.
The Physiotherapy team supports public and private patients across the co-located Mater Hospital Springfield and Mater Private Hospital Springfield, delivering care across diverse specialty areas including medical, surgical, rehabilitation, ICU, maternity, NCCU and emergency.
Salary range: $41.06 - $60.35 per hour plus 25% casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a casual Physiotherapist, you will provide patient-centred, evidence-based clinical care to patients across Mater Hospital Springfield. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients across a range of clinical specialties
- Provide safe, evidence-based care in line with professional, departmental, and organisational standards
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and support patient-centred care planning
- Participate in quality and service improvement initiatives, translating research and evidence into practice
- Supervise, mentor, and support students, new staff, and allied health assistants.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service evaluation and reporting
- Engage in ongoing professional development and foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence
About you
You are a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist with a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care in a collaborative team environment. You are keen to contribute to service improvement, professional learning, and a positive workplace culture. You will bring:
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
- Experience in an acute hospital setting is essential
- Clinical proficiency in a range of specialties across a hospital inpatient and outpatient setting
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support patient care planning
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
- Experience in a wide range of specialties, as listed above is highly desirable
