About the role
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our Cath Lab. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.
Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.
Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Undertaking Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemakers, Embolisation, Percutaneous Vascular Intervention, and Cardiac Electrophysiology procedures in Scout, Scrub and Monitor capacity.
Delivery of exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care
Deliver appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status to identify and apply timely care intervention for best patient outcomes
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment
About you
Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
Experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory
Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes
Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
Proven ability to manage workflow, prioritise clinical activity, and support operational requirements
