About the role

Mater Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administration Officer to join our team in a Permanent Part Time position, working 27 hours per fortnight. Based within our Gastroenterology service at our South Brisbane campus, you'll provide administrative support to the Director and multidisciplinary clinical team, helping ensure the seamless delivery of patient-centred care.

The Gastroenterology service provides comprehensive outpatient, day procedure and specialist care, supporting patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.

Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

You'll play an integral role in supporting the Gastroenterology team by delivering high-quality administrative and business support across a broad range of activities. You will:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director and Gastroenterology clinical team
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, room bookings, agendas and minutes
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and presentations
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets and departmental records
  • Assist with recruitment administration, onboarding and HR processes
  • Process purchasing requests and invoices through D365
  • Support operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders while delivering exceptional customer service

About you

You'll be a proactive and organised administrator who enjoys supporting busy clinical teams and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service. You will bring:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a healthcare or medical environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new systems
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently and use initiative
  • A patient-focused approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding service
  • A positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to remain composed in a dynamic environment
