About the role
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Enrolled Nurses to work within our Anaesthetics team on a permanent part-time (24-32 hours per week) basis and casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.
Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.
Salary range: $37.93 - $40.34 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of our Anaesthetics team, you will support the delivery of high-quality perioperative care and contribute to positive patient outcomes across the department. You will:
- Deliver delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Anaesthetics environment
- Support patients throughout the perioperative journey with a strong focus on safety, dignity, and compassionate care
- Assist with patient preparation, procedural support, monitoring, and post-procedure activities within scope of practice
- Collaborate closely with Anaesthetists, Registered Nurses, and the broader multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to effective patient communication and education
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold infection control and patient safety standards
- Support team culture through collaboration, flexibility, and participation in ongoing learning and development
About you
We are seeking motivated and team-focused Enrolled Nurses who are confident working within Anaesthetics and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. You will bring:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Minimum 12 months recent experience working within Anaesthetics as an Enrolled Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a fast-paced perioperative environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred care aligned with Mater’s values and mission
- Sound clinical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, professional development, and continuous improvement
