About the role
Mater at Home has exciting opportunities for experienced Senior Administration Officers to join the team on a full-time and part-time (19 hours per week), 12‑month maximum‑term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a service that makes a real difference in the lives of our clients and supports a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Administration Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes across Mater at Home. You’ll be responsible for:
Responding to and directing incoming phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner.
Maintaining the reception area providing a welcoming oasis for all staff and visitors.
Admitting, booking and discharging patients in Mater’s Patient Management Systems.
Liaising with Finance, checking health fund eligibility and providing quotes
Manage and maintain accurate files, records, and discussions with the utmost discretion, adhering to all administrative and financial policies.
Dive into tasks like data entry, referral management, client appointment bookings, customer service & ensuring everything is in its right place.
Liaise effortlessly with various departments, fostering smooth communication and workflow.
Offer indispensable support to our senior management, making sure their administrative needs are met with excellence
About you
Previous administration experience working in a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment.
Previous experience using health information systems.
Confident (intermediate) user of the Microsoft Office suite, including Teams.
Clear and empathic communicator with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
High level literacy skills, excellent phone manner and ability to convey information accurately and effectively with discretion.
Ability to critically analyse complex information, and problem solve using own initiative to deliver solutions, escalate appropriately to seek guidance and influence others.
Strong attention to detail and highly organised, with the ability to balance conflicting demands and prioritise business requirements.
A quick learner with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple systems, functions and processes.
Ability to maintain composure when confronted with a challenging situation.
Demonstrated ability to operate both autonomously and within a large in a multi-disciplinary team.
