About you

You're a strategic storyteller and people leader who understands how powerful content can inspire action.

You bring strong editorial judgement, leadership capability and the ability to turn complex information into meaningful stories that connect emotionally with audiences. You are equally comfortable setting strategic direction, coaching a team, building stakeholder relationships and ensuring high-quality content is delivered across multiple channels.

Importantly, you understand that great storytelling requires more than great ideas. You're highly organised, detail-oriented and able to implement the planning structures, processes and workflows that ensure content is sourced, prioritised and delivered effectively. You enjoy bringing clarity to complexity and balancing creativity with disciplined execution.

Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who will make a positive contribution to our team culture and be a key leader in elevating culture within the team.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant senior-level experience in content, communications, journalism, media, publishing, fundraising or marketing

  • Strong experience creating content across multiple channels, including video, email, print and broadcast
  • Proven experience developing cause-led narratives and impact-driven storytelling
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work confidently with senior leaders, clinicians, researchers, patients and donors
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, projects, production workflows and external partners
  • A solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed
  • Brings energy and enthusiasm to challenges and opportunities
  • Celebrates success and helps elevate the culture, engagement and performance of those around them

Experience in fundraising, healthcare, media or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded, as will experience using AI and emerging technologies to enhance content development, workflow efficiency and audience engagement.
