About the role

Mater Private Hospital Redlands is seeking compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing professionals to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive private hospital environment, working under the direction and supervision of

Registered Nurses to help achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Salary range: $35.05 - $38.38 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care across the unit by:

  • Providing delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living while maintaining dignity and respect
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supporting patient comfort, safety, and wellbeing across physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
  • Contributing to nursing assessments and the evaluation of patient care outcomes
  • Acting as a patient advocate and supporting families with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Adhering to professional, legal, ethical, and organisational standards of practice

About you

You are a caring and reliable healthcare professional who is committed to delivering high-quality care and living Mater’s values. You will bring:

  • Certificate III in an appropriate healthcare field (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar Assistant in Nursing role (desirable)
  • Sound clinical knowledge within the scope of Assistant in Nursing practice
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • A patient-focused, compassionate, and non-judgemental approach
  • Commitment to quality improvement, safety, and risk management
  • A willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
