About the role

Mater Hospital Gold Coast is seeking applications for Enrolled Nurses to join our Inpatient Maternity Ward. This opportunity requires flexibility to work across a casual roster. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 12 months’ clinical experience, along with a strong commitment to delivering high quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

The Enrolled Nurse (EN) performs all aspects of delegated Nursing care with particular consideration to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each patient/client and assists in the provision of comprehensive patient care under the supervision (direct or indirect) of a Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM).

Salary range: $37.93 - $41.35 per hour plus superannuation plus casual loading and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As an Enrolled Nurse you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.

  • Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care while acting as patient advocate
  • Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients during perioperative journey
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth

About you

  • Have current registration with AHPRA with no notations
  • Must have acute hospital experience
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
  • Be able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and recognise priority tasks
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team environment with a focus on exceptional patient-centred care and customer service
  • Digital and computer proficiency
  • You must participate in a 24/7 roster (including weekends)
