About the role

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Supply Officer to work within our Procurement team. This position will be employed on a permanent part time basis, 26 hours per week. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope’s Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater’s commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. 

Salary range: $34.87 - $36.55 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

  • Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain Operations team to resolve order discrepancies and stock-related issues
  • Assist with stocktake activities and maintain effective inventory control processes
  • Follow imprest management procedures and contribute to continuous system and process improvements
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while ensuring compliance with updated procedures and standards
  • Provide high-quality support to Mater customers, contributing to safe and efficient hospital operations
  • Communicate effectively with regional leadership and key stakeholders
  • Support team capability development through participation in meetings, training, and learning activities
  • Contribute ideas, feedback, and initiatives that support continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, supply chain governance, and organisational procedures
  • Adhere to Work Health and Safety requirements, including timely reporting of hazards and incidents
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and other forums as required

About you

  • Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse or inventory operations within a large organisation
  • Experience using inventory management systems, including imprest management processes
  • Previous healthcare or hospital supply chain experience is highly regarded
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive in your approach
  • A collaborative team player with a strong customer and service focus
  • Committed to continuous improvement and open to providing constructive feedback
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility
