About the role

The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton have multiple exciting opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative novice program starting on 3 July 2024.

These roles can be offered on a full-time and part-time basis. Shifts are predominately Monday to Friday, but occassional weekend shifts may be required. On-call responsibilities are also a feature of this role.

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton's perioperative services comprise five operating complexes, seven recovery bays and a central sterilising Unit. 

The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical case mix includes orthopaedic, obstetric, gynecologic, ENT, oral, urology, paediatric, general, vascular, spinal and ophthalmic surgery.

Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 per hour (RN1) plus superannuation (plus casual loading if applicable) plus access to generous salary packaging

To be successful in this position, you will possess:

  • Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Demonstrated nursing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
