About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has opportunities for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the General Surgical (10 North) team. This is a part time (32hrs), permanent position where you will be required to work across a rotating 24/7 roster.
The 10 North Surgical Unit specialises in Colorectal, Breast and Endocrine, Upper G.I., Thoracic, Hepatobiliary and General Surgeries. This team delivers a high level of specialised care to patients, their families and visitors via a supportive team who takes pride in providing the highest level of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable, patient focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.
Salary range: $38.16 – $49.04 (RN1) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision,
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth,
- Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
- Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients.
About you
To be successful in your application, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse,
- Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care,
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes,
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice,
- Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team,
- Understanding of the Mater mission and values and the ability to engage others in living these values in 10 North.
