Mater South Brisbane are currently seeking applications from Occupational Therapy Assistants to join the team on a fixed term basis.

About the role
As a member of the Occupational Therapy team, you will undertake a delegated range of clinical and non clinical activities, to contribute to patient care and the smooth operation of the Occupational therapy department.
This Occupational Therapy Assistant role supports the Paediatric Occupational Therapy stream , involving development of clinical resources and set up of individual and group sessions.

Salary range: $33.96 - $35.41 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing
The duties will be but not limited to: 

  • Provide support to Occupational Therapy clinicians in the delivery of direct and non-direct clinical activities.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of support services, equipment and new resources to support the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Stream.
  • Work as an active member of the Occupational Therapy Assistant team, providing Occupational Therapy Assistant support to other clinical areas to cover planned and unplanned leave. 
  • Contribute to the smooth operational and administrative functioning of the Occupational Therapy Department
  • Deliver competent support for occupational therapy clinical services under the direction of the treating Occupational Therapist.

About you
To be successful within the role you will have the following:

  • The success candidate will be required to obtain a criminal history check
  • Current Blue Card Holder
  • Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistant is desirable
