About the role

Mater Private Hospital Springfield (MPHS) is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse for a 6 month maximum term part-time position (32 hours per week) within the Outpatients unit. Please note this is based at our Mater Specialist suites at Brookwater.

The unit provides a variety of outpatient services (including clinics and preadmission health screening) for patients to achieve optimal health management.  The unit has a strong commitment to the Mater mission and values with staff striving to offer a compassionate service to patients and their families, to show sensitivity regarding privacy, flexibility when considering patients individual needs, and to promote a helpful environment in which the multidisciplinary team works effectively.

Salary range: $35.89 - $38.21 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The Enrolled Nurse position within the Outpatients Unit is a vital role within Mater as you will be the first and last point of contact our patients have with us.

Whilst providing the best level of service and care, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing the patient with education and information
  • Using problem solving skills to ensure safe surgical outcomes
  • Providing clinical support in clinic

About you

To be considered suitable for this role you must have:

  • Current AHPRA registration with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within an adult hospital environment
  • Clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing practice
  • High level communication skills when liaising with patients, families and staff within professional, legal and ethical parameters

The successful candidate will be hard working, enthusiastic and able to show initiative. You will be approachable with a mature and confident attitude and have the ability to work and achieve results independently.
