Mater Research are looking for a Data Manager and biostatistician to join the team! This 12 month, part-time (22.5), role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

What you’ll be doing
The Data Manager position will be positioned in the observational longitudinal birth cohort- the Queensland Family Research Cohort Project.
Large, longitudinal data sets of families birthing in Queensland which includes the follow up of each family member including partners and their baby, are required to be analysed and published to help understand the multitude of factors that can influence healthy growth and early risk factors for disease for Queensland Families.

About you
A bachelor’s degree and postgraduate studies in public health/biostatistics/epidemiology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant workplace experience. You will also meet he below criteria:
- Experience in database management
- Statistical analysis knowledge
- Ability to conduct clinical research to ensure consistency and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- An ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and technical expertise related to the research specialty
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- A high-level of interpersonal skills necessary for negotiating and liaising effectively with a diverse range of staff, patients, and other stakeholders
- Demonstrate excellent time management and project management skills
- Strong digital literacy skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite (Illustrator)
