About the role

Mater Group are looking for a Systems Specialist (Digital Health Systems) to join the team in this permanent full-time position based at our Newstead campus.

Contribute to providing exceptional advice and support for clinical systems. Showcase your expertise and leadership skills as you ensure smooth system maintenance, support and continuous improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders, mentor Clinical System Administrators and be part of a team dedicated to innovative digital health solutions.

Salary range: $114,746 - $122,915 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide timely and effective support for clinical systems, resolving complex issues and troubleshooting business processes
  • Offers subject matter expertise with strong analytical skills, contributing to root cause analysis and suggesting improvements to prevent future incidents
  • Maintains system environments with updates and patches, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with maintenance policies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and infrastructure teams to ensure information systems operate smoothly
  • Lead small to medium projects, including system upgrades and integration initiatives and manages resources
  • Manage user acceptance testing and implement changes according to the IT change management procedure
  • Effectively manages priorities, presents complex technical terms to non-technical audiences and apply relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Act as a change champion, supports DTID initiatives and provides leadership and guidance to team members

About you

  • Tertiary degree in IT or equivalent professional experience (highly desirable)
  • ITIL Foundation 3 certification
  • Certification and membership with Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA), desirable
  • Postgraduate qualifications in business management, information technology, leadership or organisational change, desirable
  • Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management certification, desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare or health vendor setting, or minimum 2 years' experience in supporting health systems or applications
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and basic applications management
  • Proven experience in IT systems project implementation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage diverse activities and priorities in a customer-focused environment
  • Collaborative approach with diverse team members from different backgrounds
