About the role
The Mater Hospital Brisbane has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their administration team within Anaesthesia Department.
This position will be offered on a maximum term contract until May 2025, working 38 hours a week. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday to Friday.
Salary range: $38.81 - $43.16 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

Some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Anaesthetics Department, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and filing systems in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Maintenance of medical doctors on call rosters
- Collaborate with department staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient communication within the Anaesthetics Department
- Provide support to the department Senior Clinicians
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Support the coordination of departmental projects and initiatives, including research and data analysis
About you
- Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
- Familiarity with financial management principles, including budgeting and invoicing processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
