About the role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay is currently seeking a Hospital Leadership Support Officer to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.
The Hospital Leadership Support Officer provides a proficient level of confidential secretarial and administrative support to designated Hospital Leaders to facilitate the delivery of operational goals, outcomes and service delivery models that particularly focuses on patient-centred care and a positive consumer experience.
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and surrounds since 1927. Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since 2003, our Hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.
Salary range: $43.31 - $47.72 (MCAS4) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Provide support to the General Manager, Finance and Operations Manager and Head of Departments as required
- Act as a local support person for corporate functions outside of the hospital such as People and Learning, Finance, Development and Property (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, staff changes etc.)
- Take detailed minutes, and be responsible for formatting of policies, procedures and forms as required
- Perform routine administration functions ensuring a professional approach and high standard of accuracy and presentation
- Prepare, compile, distribute and maintain correspondence and other documentation as required
- Maintain systems and currency of data relevant to role expectations and scope
- Coordinate and/or facilitate meetings and forums extending to the preparation, collation and distribution of documentation such as minutes and agendas, catering, venue bookings, etc. as required; and
- Undertake any specialist and specific functions and tasks associated with supporting designated Hospital Leaders
About you
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience using database and spreadsheet software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- Prior experience in personal assistant and/or administrative team leadership roles
