Mater Research are looking for a Project Co-ordinator to join the team! This maximum-term (12 months), part-time (22.8 hours per week) role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

What you’ll be doing

The Program coordinator position will be positioned in the observational longitudinal birth cohort- the Queensland Family Research Cohort (QFC) Project.

 This position is to manage internal and external stakeholder engagement for the multiple studies within the QFC, day to day management of the QFC team, marketing and communications, finance management, biobank data management and data compliance for the QFC studies.

This role will also be responsible for participant recruitment working together with research midwives for state and national data linkage.

About you

You will have a bachelor’s degree and postgraduate studies in science related discipline preferably biomedicine or epidemiology/public health, or equivalent relevant workplace experience. You will also meet the below criteria:

  • Experience in database management
  • Proficient in program management and planning, people management, research finance, marketing and communications, problem solving, decision-making and research.
  • Demonstrated experience in longitudinal studies, experience with biobanks and databanks will be viewed favourably.
  • Technical knowledge of human biospecimen collection and governance related to observational cohort studies
  • Knowledge of data security measures and compliance with healthcare regulations to ensure patient data confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Personal attributes of integrity, tact, sound judgement and respect for confidentiality.
  • Ability to conduct clinical research to ensure consistency and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • An ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and technical expertise related to the research specialty.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high-level of interpersonal skills necessary for negotiating and liaising effectively with a diverse range of staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and project management skills.
  • Strong digital literacy skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite (Illustrator), program management tools.
