About the role

Mater at Home is currently recruiting to our Physiotherapist Clinical Lead position in a permanent, full-time opportunity, based at South Brisbane.

This role is to provide line and operational management to the Mater at Home physiotherapy team. This will require providing leadership and supervision of clinician's workflows and workloads. The role will be integral to the clinical and operational leadership of Mater at Home and will be accountable for the team’s contribution to Mater at Home’s performance as an efficient, sustainable and high-quality service.

Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 (HP4) per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

The role of the Clinical Lead of Physiotherapy is to:

  • Deliver high level and independent clinical practice to members of the community in the Greater Brisbane area in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and clinical skills in exercising independent professional judgement in problem solving and clinical management of patients with acute or chronic health needs.
  • Manage a complex caseload requiring identification and assessment of complex support needs of clients, patients, families and carers
  • Demonstrate a high level of advocacy skills to address and coordinate patient/client needs.
  • Provide high level stakeholder engagement with other health care and support agencies, care/support coordinators, facility operators and community and hospital  health care providers
  • Provide collaborative leadership within Mater at Home to achieve the implementation of the Mater at Home strategic plan
  • Initiate, lead and implement quality improvement activities and research across the service
  • Cascade and contribute to implementation of strategic goals of the team and the Mater at Home service
  • Ensure the monthly operational, financial, performance, compliance and safety key performance indicators are achieved by the team
  • Report on all monthly key performance indicators

About you

To be successful in the role:

  • Possess a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy;  
  • Hold current membership of relevant association and/or registration with AHPRA;
  • Be eligible to receive a provider number through Medicare;
  • Ability to hold an NDIS Workers Screening card 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high level clinical care in relevant profession
  • Demonstrated experience leading a small team of professionals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and exemplary professionalism
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
