Mater Adult Cardiovascular Investigations Unit is seeking the skills and experience of a qualified Vascular Sonographer to join our enthusiastic team on a maximum term, part time basis with flexible working hours, 16 hours per fortnight.
About the role
The Mater Adult Cardiovascular Investigation Unit provides a range of complex diagnostic cardiac and vascular testing. Within the unit we perform an array of vascular ultrasound services including: Carotid, peripheral Arterial and Venous scans, Renal artery, Aorto-iliac, Treadmill Doppler, Fistula workup and stent surveillance in our growing service.
Working as part of our multidisciplinary team including Medical, Professional, Nursing and Administrative staff, you will enjoy providing high quality health care in a friendly working environment. You will have the opportunity to be involved with educational training sessions to build on your skills and experience.
Salary range: $64.64 - $69.55 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering high level vascular ultrasound clinical services.
- Provide clinical practice education and supervision to less experienced staff and other practitioners to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within Cardiovascular Investigations
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of clinical practices procedures and protocols to continually enhance the delivery of vascular services.
About you
- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent qualification) with a strong component in human physiology
- Fully accredited member of the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Register
- Significant Vascular Ultrasound experience
