About the role

Mater’s Finance department has an exciting opportunity for a Project Supply Chain Manager to join the team in a full-time max term 18-month contract based at our Newstead offices.

The Project Supply Chain Manager will be a valuable support to our Supply Chain Senior Leadership in the exciting Reclaim the Future Project - D365 Remediation. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and providing support for the smooth rollout of crucial process and ways of working changes, aiming to standardise and optimise our supply chain operations across the entire state.

As a senior leader, you will engage with key stakeholders and drive operational excellence to deliver excellent outcomes for our clinicians, support staff and consumers. This position offers the opportunity to work with a significant staff portfolio and budget, overseeing various aspects of supply chain management throughout the entire state.

Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will also play a crucial role in the commissioning of the new Springfield Hospital. Your key duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Project manage supply chain operations changes across the state for D365 system adoption
  • Lead key transformational focus areas in supply chain, partnering with functional leads
  • Drive standardisation and transformation in cataloguing, purchasing, freight, receipting, warehousing and distribution
  • Maintain business as usual (BAU) purchasing, warehousing, and distribution activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards for warehousing, inventory management and supply chain operations
  • Analyse business data to inform strategic decisions and report on metrics aligned with organisational plans

About you

The successful applicant will have Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles within the health sector and have the following demonstrated experience:

  • Extensive experience leading Supply Chain teams with systems, controls, and reporting arrangements at a senior level
  • Advanced computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP and/or supply chain management software
  • Proven experience in change and transformational projects within the supply chain
  • Ability to ensure that all functions within responsible services meet standards and key performance indicators
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience with operational service managers and teams
