Mater Health is seeking applications for a Performance Improvement and Clinical Redesign Officer to join the team. Reporting to the General Manager - Mater Hospital Brisbane, this permanent, full-time role is based at our South Brisbane campus.

Salary: Health Professional 4 or Registered Nurse Level 3 plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing 

The Performance Improvement and Clinical Redesign Officer, is a Registered Nurse/Allied Health practitioner who provides expert consultancy, takes a lead role in the development of contemporary and innovative models of care, Implementation and project monitoring, and is a champion for quality improvement in Mater Hospital Brisbane (MHB). The Performance Improvement and Clinical Redesign Officer partners with MHBs leadership team, clinicians and consumers to drive continuous improvements in health service delivery, supporting best-practice clinical standards and processes, innovation and excellence, transforming the way we deliver services.

The Performance Improvement and Clinical Redesign Officer has a high-level clinical knowledge and understanding who has responsibility for the provision of safe, clinically accountable person-centred care in line with the policies, procedures and guidelines. They are committed to the strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement and evaluation of health services.

About you 

You will have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or Allied Health equivalent and meet the below criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in clinical specialty.
  • Postgraduate qualification in relevant speciality (desirable)
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in clinical practice
  • High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills with the ability to engage with internal stakeholders at various levels to achieve
  • Advanced skills in improvement domains such as data analysis, co-design, change management, Lean, IHI, project management, process redesign
