About the role

The Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Team Leader Supply Chain Operations to join the team in this permanent full-time role.

The Team Leader Supply Chain Operations is part of a centralised Mater Supply Chain Operations team focused on building collaborative, customer-focused relationships and adopting a business partnering approach.

Salary range: $90,832 - $100,070 (MCA4) per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

The Team Leader of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the team leadership and delivery of regional performance objectives aligned with organisational performance expectations.  Typical duties of the role will include:

  • Leading and supervising a regional warehouse team to deliver cohesive and collaborative supply chain operations services to the hospital, inclusive of stock receiving, picking & control, purchasing, imprest management and supplier relations
  • Actively participating in the implementation of a new operating model and new ways of working, focused on consistent process adoption, team development, and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing operational workflow, communicating performance expectations, and identifying and resolving issues in collaboration with the leadership team
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on regional issues, customer expectations, demand
  • Supporting the development of the regional supply chain operations through regular discussions, performance reviews, coaching, and identifying learning and development opportunities
  • Undertaking other duties as requested from time to time, which may involve occasional travel

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated team leadership experience ideally gained in a large, complex organisation, with a proven ability to lead and manage change effectively. You will also possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain operations
  • Strong knowledge and experience with ERP platforms or purchasing and inventory management platforms
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including working with the MS Office suite, online collaboration tools, and workflow/project management applications
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate and deliver outcomes that meet client expectations
  • Strong leadership abilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to communication, showing initiative in problem-solving
  • A strong commitment to working with people to lead and drive change, as well as a focus on continuous improvement and delivering quality supply chain services
