About the role
Mater has a unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate Medical Education Administration Officer to join our high achieving Medical Education and Workforce Services team in this permanent full time role. Based at the South Brisbane campus.
Medical Education and Workforce Services at Mater in South Brisbane are responsible for managing all medical education and workforce functions for Junior Medical Staff at Mater. This includes advertising, recruitment, onboarding, roster and leave management, performance management and pastoral care as well as education, training and learning requirements.
Salary range: $38.81 - $43.16 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
To provide administrative support to Medical Education and Workforce Services (MEWS) for the coordination and efficient functioning of all Medical Education programs and activities. Administration support includes, but is not limited to:
- To provide administration support to MEWS for the formal education programs for Medical Officers (Interns, Junior House Officers, Senior House Officers, Critical Care Senior House Officers)
- To provide support with administration functions relating to orientation programs for Medical Officers (Interns, Junior House Officers, Senior House Officers, Critical Care Senior House Officers, Registrars, Principal House Officers, Fellows, and some Senior Medial Officers). This includes managing relationships with external sponsors.
- To coordinate, review and provide Intern Completion Certificates in collaboration with the Medical Education Officers and Director Clinical Training prior to forwarding to AHPRA
- To prepare meeting agendas and minutes in collaboration with the Director Medical Education and Workforce
- To provide high quality and confidential (where required) administrative support to the Director of Clinical Training (DCT), Director Medical Education and Workforce and Medical Education Officers (MEOs)
- Work within Mater systems to track, monitor and ensure compliance with due process for Education session attendance, feedback, and planning.
- Support MEWS with all data collection and reporting functions for accreditation requirements.
- Provide customer service and support to Junior Medical officers; manage and distribute MEU generic email and phone line.
- Prepare and provide letters of rotation, and evidence of satisfactory work performance to junior medical officers.
- Act as formal secretariat to Medical Education Committee meetings.
