About the role
Mater Pathology has an exciting opportunity for an experience Scientist to join the team as our CSR Manager. This is a permanent full-time role working 38 hours a week, where you may be required to work across all shifts including evenings and over nights.
The CSR Manager will be a leader in the Central Specimen Reception processes associated with delivering a quality, efficient diagnostic laboratory service to Mater patients and customers. This role requires detailed knowledge of the laboratory testing processes and requirements for accurate and consistent data entry.
Salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Lead Central Specimen Reception processes for efficient laboratory service delivery
- Supervise data entry and laboratory testing processes for accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with Pathology Director to streamline communication with referrers
- Manage team of laboratory assistants and scientific support staff for efficient workflow
- Ensure compliance with NATA, NPAAC, and Medicare requirements
- Provide strategic direction for high-quality and efficient CSR operations
- Monitor financial performance and optimize resources for improved outcomes
- Manages compliance and risk through routine review and active monitoring of mandatory education, procedural audits and effective action on risk management
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
- Experience in managing large teams
- Expertise in an Australian Based Pathology Laboratory Information System
- Possess a high level of scientific knowledge and extensive operational experience.
- Post-graduate qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science or Management are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to drive change and continuous improvement in service delivery
