About the role

Mater’s Group Finance department is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer in this full time, 12-month maximum term contract opportunity based at Mater Newstead.

This role will ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable functions encompassing the input and matching of all accounts payable documents and records.

Salary range: $38.81 - $43.16 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoice information in the ERP system
  • Manage invoice data entry into D365 system for uploads, general ledger, and purchase orders to maintain up-to-date financial records
  • Review and monitor duplicate payments related to supplier accounts
  • Resolve general accounts payable queries and issues for both internal and external customers, fostering positive relationships
  • Perform data entry of adhoc accounts payable documents
  • Assist in the administration of the petty cash and cabcharge facility
  • Provide support in the administration of the corporate card facility administration to ensure compliance
  • Assist in the clearance of prepayment balances in a timely manner
  • Monitor monthly and assist in the reconciliation of creditor statements with timely follow-up on outstanding items
  • Assist in the processing of GRNI related balances
  • Undertake general accounts payable administration tasks, including filing and documentation management
  • Deliver friendly and efficient client services to suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support accounts payable leaders in various projects and activities
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed by the Accounts Payable Team Leader and/or Manager, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

About you

  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounts payable role, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounts payable functions and processes
  • Knowledge of general administration and accounts payable procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and reconciliation knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to support accounts payable leaders in various projects and activities
