About the role
Mater Cancer Care Centre (MCCC) is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Enrolled Nurse to join the team at South Brisbane.
In this role, you will be working in the Outpatient Clinics and Day Treatment Centre, delivering nursing care to our patients. This is a permanent part time 24 hours per week vacancy. Our opening hours are 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
MCCC aims to offer all patients, regardless of their level of health insurance cover, access to exceptional Cancer Care in a modern state-of-the-art facility. We provide comprehensive and compassionate care that is individually personalised. The centre includes specialist suites for Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care consultations, 40 Cancer Care treatment chairs, Clinical Trials, an extensive Allied Health team, support programs and a specialised Pharmacy.
Salary range: $35.93 - $38.13 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout their disease trajectory
- Delivering exceptional clinical skills and knowledge in Cancer Nursing to our patients
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Supporting the Outpatient Clinics and Inpatient treatment services to provide individualised, person-centred Cancer Care to our patients
About you
You will be driven by a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can bring your energy and experience to this dynamic unit. To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Haematology/Oncology role, experience in a Day Treatment Centre will be highly regarded
- Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, decision making skills and attention to detail
